  • Sporting Events

    Mon 29 Feb 2016
As always, many of our children have participated in a variety of sporting events.  This past term has seen children taking part in the annual Dance Festival at the High School - a superbly entertaining evening with boundless energy in every performance.  The swimming Gala provided an opportunity for our budding swimmers, and a Netball Tournament our netballers.  All those taking part represented our school with great enthusiasm and we are proud of them all.  Most Fridays, a group of pupils participate in a Friday Festival with a Frisbee Festival coming shortly.
  • Seeds from Space!!

    Mon 29 Feb 2016
International Space Station has has selected our school to receive a packet of 100 Rocket seeds.  These will be grown alongside seeds that have not been in space and we will be measuring the difference over seven weeks as they grow.  All the results will be collated by the Royal Horticultural Society Campaign for School Gardening and the UK Space Agency.  This experience will help our pupils think about how humans could survive on another planet in the future.  It is a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to think scientifically and be sharing their findings with the scientific world and with Tim Peake!
  • Take One Picture

    Mon 29 Feb 2016
Our annual participation in this project, instigated by the National Portrait Gallery, has produced a fabulous whole-school collage of mainly recycled materials.  Children combined their topic with the collage - hence the unique array of characters in the parade, ranging from toys to Dr.Who and Queen Victoria!  Many of the children also included the picture in other subject areas such as finding the perimeter of paintings in maths, and writing poetry and stories in their English work.
