Several children have already participated in a number of sporting events. The recent Friday festivals, including boccia and kurling, and more recently rowing, have given some of our pupils the opportunity to try new sports. The school football team took part in the small schools' tournament, winning 3 games and drawing 2, whilst scoring 10 goals without conceding. Despite this, the tournament was so closely fought that we finished in second place, though congratulations must go to Leasingham who were overall winners.

Many thanks for the generous donations that were provided for our Harvest Festival. Both our Harvest Festival and a delicious meal of bangers and mash followed by apple crumble at the Friends of School Harvest Supper were well supported. As always, the highlight of the evening was our auction, led by Mr. Key, whose children used to attend our school. In total, the event raised approximately £600. As always, all of the tinned goods are to be donated to the Sleaford Community Larder, helping to support those in need within the local area.

The production of Oliver at the start of the Autumn term was enthusiastically received by everyone. The standard and professionalism of the performance was wonderful for the children to experience.

We are delighted to report that we are going paperless! From 1 November 2016 we will only be sending home letters that require a response slip to be returned. All other letters, information, newsletters etc will be sent via 'OurSchoolsApp'. Not only will this significantly reduce paper and printing costs, it is also good for the environment, and letters will actually get home.
