Trips
Tue 16 Jul 2019Many trips have taken place this term. Years 5 and 6 have been on residentials to Stibbington and Dearne Valley Kingswood Centre. The children all had a fantastic time learning lots and spending time away from home. Years 4 took part in the Church Festival at St. Denys Church in Sleaford and Year 6 at Lincoln Cathedral. Other activities included taking part in the MacMillan Mile at Cranwell, a trip to Mr. Scott's farm for Year 2s, and a giant orchestra day at Carres Grammar. -
Sporting Events
Tue 16 Jul 2019Pupils have continued to take part in lots of Friday festival led by Carres Grammar School, participating in Change4Life, tchoukball, cross country, table tennis, ks1 football, Year 3-4 mini olympics and year 5-6 athletics.
Kirkby la Thorpe football team have had another amzing season this year. Despite being a relatively small school, we once again competed against teams with a much larger pool of children to choose from, finishing in second place, leading to promotion to the main league next year. Due to the hard work of our staff, KLT has been awarded the Gold Youth Sports Trust mark for the fourth consecutive year.

Cricket World Cup!
Tue 16 Jul 2019On 6 June, 30 of our pupils travelled to Trent Bridge and walked out with Australia and West Indies for the national anthems. The children were provided with a uniform from the Cricket World Cup team; of a t-shirt, tracksuit bottoms and a cap. As well as walking out with the teams, our pupils took part in mini cricket games in front of thousands of spectatorsand will, we're sure, remember the event for a long time to come.
