    Congratulations go to the Goldfinch Class who won the KLT Bake Off by 1p!  The prize for the class is free ice-cream from the ice-cream van which will visit the school on 19 July.

    The summer fair was well attended last weekend and a big thank you to all who helped and supported the event.

    Four of our Year 5 boys took part in a Primary Maths Challenge at Carres Grammar School this month which involved various maths questions and challenges, competing with a number of schools in the area.  Our boys won first place!  Well done boys!!
  • Musicians and Choir

    Kirkby la Thorpe school musicians attended the Giant Orchestra Day at Carres Grammar earlier this month performing with other primary and secondary schools from the local area.

    Our Collaborative Choir represented our school on a number of occasions this term.  Joining together with the primary schools in our area, our of our Year 5 children sung at the Armed Forces Flag raising event, at the NK Fest and again at an Art Exhibition at Cranwell Primary School.

    Mrs. Regan's after school music group represented our school at the Lincolnshire Show in the Lincoln Diocese marguee.

  • Residentials

    Last month our Year 5 pupils headed to Stibbington for their residential stay.  The children took part in an environmental study throughout their three day stay, carrying out various investigations.

    Year 6 pupils travelled to Kingswood Dearn Valley towards the end of June for a long weekend.  They braved many activities including the 'leap of faith', zip wire and raft building.

  • Out and About!

    This term the Year 6 class took part in a rather wet MacMillan Mile at RAF Cranwell. Lots of money was raised for a fantastic cause - despite the terrible weather!

    Both our Year 4 and Year 6  pupils participated in Church Festivals; our Year 4 pupils joined their Sleaford church school family at St. Denys in Sleaford whilst our Year 6 pupils went to Lincoln Cathedral.  All children took part in a number of workshops as well as collective worship.

    Year 6 pupils were given the opportunity to work with pupils from Cranwell this month taking part in a wide range of activities from a dry-triathlon to making a bath bomb to baking.

  • Books Galore!

    Mrs. Bennett has managed to secure £2000 towards the development of our library and the purchase of books for our school.  This has been awarded by the Foyle Foundation, an independent grantmaking trust that distributes grants to UK charities.
